Fully Qualified Electrician

All our electrical works are carried out to British standards, currently

BS7671 2018/ 18th edition.

I feel very strongly about the regulations set out as electricity can be dangerous and the regulations are in force to save lives.

It is also a legal obligation for all electrical work to be carried out to these standards, In 2005 part P of the building regulations was introduced and it become law that certain works must be

certified and a building regulations notice applied.

This is very important when carrying out certain works such as bathroom installation which involve electrical works, as any electrical work in bathrooms most be certified. As a bathroom installer we can carry out all electrical works and comply with all legislation.

Quality Brands

We only use quality brands in out electrical work, mainly Crabtree. I do not believe in cheaply manufactured electrical sockets which from our experiences can cause electrical faults. This does reflect in our quotes but we would never compromise electrical safety to win against our competitors.

RCD (Residual Current Device)

Do you know that an RCD (residual current device) is one of the most important life savers with today's electrical devices as it detects earth faults and disconnect the supply before you receive a fatal electric shock.

If you have a consumer unit that does not incorporate full RCD protection then we strongly recommend you consider upgrading and our prices start from £390 + VAT for a new consumer unit fully fitted which includes detailed testing of the whole property to ensure that the new consumer unit provides the correct level of protection.

You also receive all legal documentation and building regs certificates
of the installation.

General Advice Regarding DIY Electrics

We also do not advise DIY electrical or any one who is not qualified as it can be very tempting to save a few quid and do it yourself or let a unqualified trades person carry out electrical work but without full knowledge of the regulations, little knowledge can be dangerous and the most common fault we come across is spurred sockets. It may appear very easy to add a socket but without the knowledge of knowing how a spur can affect the installation,
can make the property unsafe.
